Finally the Brown Belt

Josh was finally glad to see Riley get out of his purple belt/brown stripe rank (because of a subconscience hatred toward purple because of the North Gem Cowboys). Riley got his brown belt in Tae Kwon Do on January 30. He has been working really hard to get better and is working for his black belt. He did really good and had excellent percision on his form.

Madison's New Smile

Madison got a shiny new smile this morning. She had a cross bite with one of her front teeth, so she needed braces. They only put them on four teeth, so hopefully it won't hurt too bad. She got the pick out the shape of the front braces, she chose flowers. And then she even got to pick out the color of the rubber bands. She chose red, blue, light purple, and dark purple. Very colorful. Madison has been a little nervous, but she was very brave; we are so proud of her.

What Would You Do?

Madison has always been our animal lover. She even got a new fish tank for her birthday. We put her male and female beta in there to "live happily ever after." Well, it turns out that they were not meant to be. The male picked on the female until she died and then, in turn, died himself. Madison was glad about that because he was such a meanie.

So after Christmas we got her two goldfish, and one has already died. AHHH! What should a mother do? Do I go down to McKee's and get another one and not even tell her? Most goldfish look the same anyway. Or do I tell her the truth and let her cry it out? What would you do?

Well, I decided to let life take it's course and tell her the truth. She has since recovered and is ready to go get another. Good thing these guys are only 20 cents.
