Dr.Seuss Night

Edahow's second grade had there Dr. Seuss program tonight. Here is a quick upload for dad that was working.

Not so fun at Outer Limits

We went to Outer Limits with Nick and Dana and their families for FHE this week. It was lots of for the little girls. Outer Limits had a big jungle gym climbing toy that they loved. Riley was way too cool for that so he went to the arcade. Just as Riley and Madison had finished off all the tokens and had to buy a drink because they were so thirsty, Alaina had an "accident" that dripped all the way down to the bottom of the toy. And of course she was way up on the climbing gym and wouldn't move, so I had to climb up there and get her. Her unprepared Mom did not have any new pants and underwear, so she wore her cousins diaper. By this time I had had enough and told the kids it was time to go home. I got some pics of the girls climbing on the gym, but none of Riley playing on the arcade.

What a Game

Josh and I went with some friends down to the Jazz and Celtics game this week. Josh is more of a Spurs fan so we were pretty neutral. The reigning NBA champions, the Celtics, were ahead most of the game until the last couple minutes. The Jazz pulled ahead and won by five in the end.
The game was supposed to start at 8:30, but because it was broadcast on TNT, it started even later. It ended at 11:30 and we got home about 2:30 am. The morning alarm to get the kids on the bus came too fast and we have been wrecked all day.

Happy President's Day

We spent President's Day visiting the Gardner Family in Rigby. Our families have been friends ever since that fateful religion class Josh and Lee took together at Ricks. They discovered that each other liked hunting birds and now they spend way too much time together during hunting season.

Anyway, We went up to see thier new addition on to their house and to visit. The kids went rode on the sled behind the snow machine and Riley was able to shoot his new gun. It wore them out because both girls fell asleep on the way home.

The Chicago Bears Room

My mom and I finally took down the 80s sports wallpaper in Riley's room last fall, but underneath we found a pink walls. He wasn't too happy about that. In an New Year's resolution effort to get some things done on my "to do" list, I finally painted his room. We had been debating about what color to paint it for weeks. He wanted Chicago Bear Blue and Orange and I wanted something more neutral. We finally came to a compromise and painted it white with the blue and orange stripes. After spending hours aligning the blue tape so the stripes would be straight, putting on 3 coats of the orange and 4 coats of the blue, I was finally done. This isn't quite the finished product. I now have to go back through and touch up where the colors leaked through the the blue tape, but you can't see it on the pictures. The colors will coordinate with his Chicago Bears bedding, rug, throw blanket, posters, banners, footballs, plush fingers, and other decorations.
